Staying at home during lock down mean you have higher chances to become fat? Eating too much, spending too much time on TV programs until you gradually get into sedentary lifestyle? 

Are you one of them who live a sedentary life during pandemic?

People ask me to share more about the tips of fighting Covid-19 through the idea of an Chinese medicine doctor. The very important tip is not to depend on health supplements. Fresh and raw foods should be the correct answer to build a stronger immune system. 

Eat more fresh and raw fruits and vegetables

If you eat too much of meats, may be it is time to intake more fruits and vegetables. 300 to 500 grams of fruits and vegetables a day will keep the virus away. As for protein intake, each Kg of your body weight need 1 to 1.5 grams, the carbohydrates will be 300g per day, remember to slightly adjust the ratios based on your daily activities. 

Remember to find the correct ratio of balance diet that suit your healthy lifestyle

My little advice for those who is on extreme diet, a diet that cut down a lot on carbohydrates  might lower your immunity to fight Covid-19, a diet that contains very high portion of fat might increase the phlegm and stasis blockage in lung.

“The Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classic” clearly pointed out the healthy diet should be: ” Five grains are for nourishment, the five fruits are for help, the five animals are for benefit, and the five vegetables are for filling.” When you intake carbohydrates, please don’t just eat rice or noodles. The so-called “five grains for nourishment” means multi-grains, included beans, wheat, rice, millet, sorghum and other crops.

The power of seeds, the best foods for create a stronger immunity to fight Covid-19

Multi grains are basically plant seeds. And the seed is buried in the soil, no matter how small it is, it can break through the soil, grow from root and germinate. This shows that the seeds have vigorous vitality, condensing all the essence of plants. Multi grains nourish our body, increase the vital energy. Other categories of foods are playing an assisting roles from side. In the future, I will spend more time on the topic of Chinese medicine and diet.

Even in areas that experiencing outbreak, meats should be cooked and handled well during food preparation.

The last thing I want to advise people not to intake raw meats, raw eggs, sushi, sashimi and rare steaks not only give you the risk of worm infections but also have possibility of being polluted by Coronavirus.
